Dave Logan Lands in San Fran'

Allaccess.com reports that Dave Logan...former PD at B973...and a half-dozen great stations...lands on his feet at KKSF/San Francisco. This was...as I recall..a heritage Jazz station.

GREAT! Another overpaid no-talent that can trash another station! He really did a great job at KBSG!! Too bad I don't look better in a suit, obviously, that is all that matters. I am sure that Dave can probably smoke a better pole than most, too.

actually, if you knew anything about KBSG, you wouldn't blame the station's demise on Dave Logan. If they had left it alone they'd be kicking ass right now in the PPM

I agree...I thought KBSG sounded best just before they pulled the talent. Music was more contemporary ... it felt like a personality station again ... music flow was awesome. I had reached the point where I could stomach the 12 billionth spin of Louie, Louie just to hear their "packaging" of the format.

And I understand where they WANTED to go ... but I am also not sold on the "mynorthwest.com" concept. it makes the stations come off like 3rd class entities under the umbrella, which is NOT as strong as the Times or TV sites. 5-10 years ago it would have been brilliant. Less annoying with KBSG not doing music, but just seemed like a strategic mis-step to me.

Yup, KBSG had come back around to sounding good. If the brain trust at Entercom hadn't pissed off Jay Kelly he might still be there and KBSG would be at the top of the heap. Instead it's KJR-F.
