Dave Ramsay instead of Jay Saturday Night

I noticed that too! I was very excited to hear Jaybird as I got into my car at 7:14 Saturday night... Only to be totally disappointed by the sound of Ramsey's Ramblings. A damn shame.

We thought the Luvable One was out sick. If he's down to Sunday nights only, then Nurse Jeff and I are sick to learn Dave Ramsey will be preaching to the mentally bankrupt six nights a week on K-Tweet-AR. YIKES!

Also, who is this Jill doing the show with Jay? Not that she doesn't seem like a nice enough person, but he doesn't need any help!

NO

The bastards...6 days of dumbass white trash hillbilly jezus finances?

"Dave, my kids need special shampoo to get the lice out of their hair, it is expensive! But me and Lurlene want to go and see Hank Williams Jr...what should we do?"

I say put Tim and Willy in that slot for now until they take over am or pm drive!

Now Now Jesus did kick over the money-changers stand in the temple. so Hillbilly Dave does have a theological leg to stand on..maybe. Maybe the station management can attend his seminar on running a business?

(Didn't Dave have a whole church-load of "we're debt free" groupies here in PHX a while back?)

Bonneville's latest attempt to remove listener call-ins from a "talk radio" station and turn what remaining *local* shows they have into "The View." More good news for KJZZ and for Terri Gilberg over at KFYI -- they'll both be getting the listeners who continue to flee 92.3 in droves. Here's a question for "Fact or Fiction," which everyone's playing, even the home game -- are they deliberately repelling listeners away? PPM's for January can't be good.

No disrespect to Jay, whom I respect a lot, but Bonnint is unconcerned with PPMs on the weekend. I suspect there's a sales-based reason for this. Still, it's a shame.

When you're number two in revenue for the market (second only to sister 620), why be concerned with PPM at all?

Do we know if Terry Gilberg has seen a large spike in listeners due to the change over at KTAR? My understanding is that her show was already very popular to begin with and the most listened to weekend show at KFYI. Is that right?

I was one that used to listen to Ramsey's show on KTAR & soon discovered that they keep playing the same shows (or calls) over & over again. It got old. I stopped listening after I discovered that his #1 answer to everyone is to "get an old used beater & deliver pizzas"

I'd rather listen to reruns of Dr. Ruth.

Has the Luvable One ever mentioned the reason for his reduction of hours at K-Tweet-AR? Unlike all the other weekend dual host programs of the past year, this one still takes listener calls and minimizes banal banter between the talk-jocks. Perhaps after a gazillion years of working seven days a week, JayAZ wanted a well deserved day off :-\

Dr. Ruth? Dr. Ruth? I just coughed up a drink between my nostrils. A little early for Halloween scares, isn't it?

It was a quiet Saturday night at the Buckeye Media Hut as Nurse Jeff and I sipped my tais (or were they manti te'os?). As rain came down on the Hut's tin roof and the water washed more oxidation off our '76 Gremlin, the Nurse and I realized something important was missing. There were double digit IQ callers screaming "...I'm debt free" on KTweetAR, but no Lovable Jay to take live and local calls or ask listeners if it was raining where they are. And so our little love shack of a Media Hut has changed forever. Gone are the Saturday nights when the Atwater Kent was glued to 92~Three. Gone is that infectious laugh when Jay realized what he just said was as stupid as what Mac 'n Gaydos think is reality. Gone is our chance of being served a heapin' helpin' of Humbles at Bill Johnson's Big Apple. And it's no longer Sabado Gigante because the Luvable Uno no esta aquí.

But at least we still have him on Sunday night. ;D

Was Jay on hiatus tonight (Feb 24)?

Maybe watching the Oscars...or out harvesting humbles ;)

The Nurse and I think the whole thing sucks big time. Saturday nights are now infomercials and Dave "I'm Intelligence Free" Ramsey. Then on Sunday we get re-runs of ABC Network programs instead of the Luvable One. It's almost enough to make us listen to Terry Gilberg.

Almost.

Nothing makes me want to listen to "Skreech" Gilberg.

Her show is for angry white nuts who believe in every conspiracy.

What's the deal with KTAR's website? They did add Arizona's Noon News (without Karie Dozer's picture) but their weekend shows are the same as they were last year. Why update only half of the website?
