Dave Ramsey moving to WTTK 106.1

They have been repeating the KC and Carmen show in the evenings. I just heard them say that the repeat will end on Thursday and they will start broadcasting The Dave Ramsey Show on Friday.

Re: Dave Ramsey moving to WTKK 106.1

Maybe WPTF should consider adding Herman Cain from 10 till Noon, and bring back "Open Line' from 7 till 9, since WPTK 850 carries Clark Howard from 1 till 3, and while 850 is at it, they should quit repeating Dr. Joy Browne twice weekdays, and add other programs.

Dave probably hit his peak during the height of the recession. Now he's just a broken record. It is the same thing over and over. I realize his show is probably a major loss of income for WPTF but they can do better than The DR Show in that time slot. WPTF also needs a translator or more likely the station will take to FM (perhaps 102.9 once Curtis finds a way to bring it back into the fold.). While we're on the subject of translators, I traveled throughout the Triangle today. 95X's audio quality does not compare to other Clear Channel stations. Is it that they are HD-2 or that they are a translator or both that limits audio quality. (I realize they have a weak signal - I'm talking when one is within range.) They also had a weird digital drop occur every once in awhile. It does not sound like a satellite drop.

What they should have done years ago is what WBT in Charlotte did. If they have trouble being heard at night to the north, buy WHLQ 102.5. That station can surely be daytime only on 1480. Instead it's now The Pulse.

Actually they did buy 102.5, what used to be WHLQ. The Pulse is a Curtis station.

For the life of me I do not understand why WTKK picked up Dave Ramsey. He is not a Premiere program, so to leave WPTF for WTKK I'd assume they are asking considerably less money for his carriage.

PLEEEEEEEZ tell me 94.5 is not going to replace jason lewis with ramsey as well. Talk radio is so dreadful in the Triad. If they put ramsey on that station, a good many of us here might just get together and pull a Jim Jones out in the woods somewhere.

They're replacing Schnitt? Heard Schnitt not two weeks ago talking about doing an appearance at a restaurant in Wake Forest on a Sunday afternoon.
And now he's gone.
Radio is a fickle mistress.

Schnitt is 9p-12a. I thought they are putting Dave Ramsey in the 6p-9p slot where the morning show replay has been?

Looks like WPTF is airing Clark Howard from 7-9pm. I do not know why, since 850am has Clark Howard live 1-3pm daily. Unless it is untill they get a permanent show for that time slot.

Well, yes, but not to give WPTF a better signal. By the time they did it, it ws too late to do anything for WPTF.
