Dave Ramsey replaces Mark Levin on WRKO

I was surprised they took off Levin but I'm wondering if the Globe is gradually taking over the station and getting rid of conservative talk, block by block. First the really lame morning show, and now taking off Levin and putting on Ramsey, who IS snooze fest. He sounds like one of these really really boring financial guys they have on the weekends that I can't imagine anyone listens to. I certainly don't. Levin does get old frequently with his yelling, but there are a lot of other good talkers out there, and I wouldn't mind hearing Savage back in that slot, if possible. But not Ramsey. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all that, but dull dull dull. I'm down to some of Kuhner and Howie, and that's it.

I like Levin.

THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID IT!

You don't seem to be the only one. Although I lean left, I enjoy listening to conservative radio, provided it is civil and intelligent. I can't understand why anyone would want to listen to someone yell and fake outrage every night.

I tuned into Dave Ramsey the other night. Pretty dull.

Actually the guy 1510 has on from 7pm to 10pm is quite good. He has interesting guests and usually avoids the name calling and rants that are so popular with many of the Right Wing programs.

You and me both.

Next to Rush, there's none finer, although Mike Siegel does a credible job when he subs on 'RKO. Too bad they didn't put him on 7 to 10, instead of Ramsey.

A lot of folks enjoyed Siegel's covering for the KuhnerMan this past week. Yes, I realize he's based in Seattle, but he is good and very articulate. Hmmm.......

I can't get 1430 on my home radio at night, so I listen to Levin via iHeartRadio. I just wish the audio on many streams was more even in volume.

Great quote, BTW.

I don't thik the Globe has any intention of running WRKO 24/7. I think they saw a relativly inexpensive
way to add an audio outlet to there print publication and market Boston.Com.

The Herald is trying to do the same thing but with only one program on terrestrial radio it is a up hill fight. The Heralds Morning show is quite good with prominent guests each morning.

Dave Ramsey is a Born Again Christain and although he does not talk politics he is quite conservative. I do believe RKO when they say that they wanted to offer something other than political talk at night.

Years ago they had a winning combination of Bruce Williams and Salley Jesse Raphael in the evening. But those days are long gone.
