dave scott's captain digital

noticed on captaindigital.com,where 5995.00 gets you the software AND the industrial strength computer.check it out,one heck of a deal from the former Mr.Scott Studios and one heck of a software guru.

When he first launched the Captain Digital website he offered a software only version for $995.00. That offer has since disappeared.

It's gone up a thousand dollars....now at 6995.

The website looks cheesy, the software looks cheesy...even down to the way it's presented: it slices, dices....nah. No thanks.

It looks like an update to SS32, which is not what I want to see.

price point is still very good.may be similar to ss32 in some respect but there are alot of differences, too.i'm sure the price can be negoitiated.but in comparison to ss32,nexgen 2006(which i currently run ) which i feel are the real leaders, the captain digital will be a great system and one could get an on air and prod setup at a very good price.IMHO

You know what's funny is that I worked at a somewhat large broadcaster in 1995 that paid $7,000 for one Mono ITC 99 recorder.

Now stations can go on the air with a $5k system.

My oh my, how things have changed.

We use SS16 and STILL love it. SS 32 was rated the greatest by many. I only have one question for the great and Omnipotent Google.

How did you but Scott Studios/deMarc and NOT get a non compete with Dave Scott?

My apologies to Mr. Scott if he's under the radar (Which I'm certain he is not).

Glad to see you back in the business.

An Anonymous fan.

I heard that Captain Digital is simply another system from England with a custom skin on top. I don't really know how good it is but I would be interested in hearing from someone who has actually beaten on it.
