Does anyone know why Dave Smith was let go from KLAA? Roger Lodge is OK, but he can't carry a sports talk show.
 
They said it was money. Smith started working both morning and afternoon drive, then mornings only, and now out. He did get suspended at one point for a comment made on the air. Rodger Lodge is said to be one of the least-prepared talk show hosts in radio.
 
Dennis Kuhl decided not renew his contract which is a shame because he was the only good thing on that joke of a station that revolves around the Angels and infomercials and some right-wing lawyer that pays to get on the air. One thing I can say...Lodge needs a co-host BADLY. I've always like Dave Smith, and I know he'll resurface somewhere, whether here in L.A. or in another market. I may not agreed with everything he said, but he always called his partners on their stupidity. The more I listen to Lodge by himself, it's obvious that he can't carry a show on his own. It's too bad though that Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd are such egotistical bores, or else I would to listen to them instead.
