Dave Thomson out at “Mix 96”

Word from All Access is that he ran into budget cuts. With their ratings, how can they justify that move? Will he be replaced by a lower priced talent, or replaced at all?
 
Seems like most CBS stations use Audio Vault. If so they'll still need a good board op as it's much more primitive than a system like Prophet. So why VT at all? They could bring someone in at a lower salary and hope that they don't lose numbers in the morning.

Not to make this a thread about voice tracking but it Audio Vault still that behind the times?
