just heard Dave's show for the first time. It might be the worst national oldies show there is. Even the way Jones has the formatics of the show set is awkward. Any thoughts on this guy? He ain't no Truckin' Tom Kent!

Isn't that the oldies show that used to air evenings on 95.9 WKKD-FM in Chicagoland in the 1999-2001 timeframe? (That was before WKKD-FM was sold and flipped to the River.)

I've heard his show, albeit it was about a year ago or so.
It sounded okay. Good radio of the mind, radio theatre kind of thing.

What time frame in music does his show cover?

If he plays the same regurgitated crap of the late 60s/ early 70s (forgetting that rock existed WAYYYY before 1967) THAT EVERY OTHER STUPID OLDIES STATION PLAYS IN EVERY OTHER TOWN EVERY DAY, then it will stink.

I don't recall his show sounding so trite.

No way! Dave's Diner is a great show. His "theater of the mind" is very entertaining. JRN has some good personalities - from Dave Sanders to Ted "the bear" Richards.

Dave is Dave Sanders. He has been doing Dave`s Diner on JRN for many, many years. He is now also doing mornings on JRN.
