David Allen Coe and Heavy Metal ?

Talk about your matchups.....Seems that a few years ago before the death of DamagePlan guitarist "Dimebag" Darrel, Country outlaw David allan Coe was recording material with the rock group and the recordings were recently released as a cd called "rebel meets rebel" and "DAC/CFH".DamagePlan is basically the 90's rock group Pantera (who was known for screaming guitars and songs such as "Cowboys from Hell" which BTW is the CFH reference on the artwork) minus lead singer Phil Anselmo.I wanna see who adds this one to their playlists :p ;Dhttp://www.rebelmeetsrebel.com/http://www.myspace.com/rebelmeetsrebelRFLA

In spite of the obvious lack of airplay this will generate (heck, Pantera got little airplay even when they were topping the Album charts), it's one of the most interesting & entertaining projects I've heard in quite a while. It's been in my CD player pretty much all the time for the past week or so.

It's actually getting some airplay on active rock stations.. probably more as Dimebag's last album than the match up of David Allen Coe with Pantera. It's number 31 on R&R's active rock chart BTWRFLA
