David Brown did anchor the morning news for a while, but then went tback to weather. I've been watching WCVB-Tv since the very first day the original WHDH-TV channel went on the air in November, 1957. Got up early to see the first test pattern.

David Brown did anchor the morning news for a while.

David had been doing the weekend news shows back when Sunbeam bought WLVI and shuttered that news operation. WLVI Chief Meteorologist Mike Wankum eventually came over to WCVB to do weekends and they shifted David to news (anchoring the EyeOpener). Eventually, WCVB picked up Randy Price when Price was let go by Sunbeam (WHDH/Channel 7). Randy was put on the EyeOpener, displacing David again, this time back to weather.

David's been a team player for the station.

Maybe if Harvey Leonard retired like Dick Albert did a few years ago, David would have stayed. ;D

Not just weather. I think being a beautiful woman is becoming a job requirement for news departments. And to quote the Seinfeld episode........"not that there's anything wrong with that".
