David Clark - WPRL / WKKE / WJNT passes

Just found out this weekend that David Clark passed away. For some of the older folks in Central Mississippi radio, Clark's company, Mid South Media, built and owned what started as WPRL-AM, a 1kw daytimer on 1190 licensed to Pearl, MS. The original site was actually located in Richland, MS. Clark later filed for a change to 1180 with 10kw day and 500w night from a new site in Pearl. Call letters were changed to WKKE later on. WKKE had the distinction of being one of the few AM Stereo stations in Central MS when they were still playing a music format. Clark sold the station to Buchanan Broadcasting in the mid 1980s, who upped the daytime power to 50kw and switched calls to WJNT when the format changed to talk radio. I had the opportunity to meet David Clark long after he sold the station. He was a well known attorney in Rankin County but always had a love for broadcasting. Prayers to his family.
