I just can't believe it! David Corey has become a victim of budget cuts (according to All Access). A truly good guy! Best of luck!

David Corey is a class act. One of the best programmers in the country...hands down.An Era at KISS has truly come to a close now. WXKS will never be the same. I hope Cadillac still plays rose royce on saturdays...after David exits.David has helped alot of us get our start, he is an example of what is possible in the biz with hard work and determination. He always finds just the right balance of research and gut instinct to identify a hit. An industry leader that Meffa will sorely miss.(lights dim....curtain closes) :'(

I had the chance to work with "Kid" while working for Arista and BMG...fenwayfan is right on target..David is very talented man and I am sure he will land on his feet...

Thats an amazing run for someone in this day and age. Also consider that when he came up it was still possiblee to start as an intern or a phone op and work your way up to MD or APD, etc, that is no longer a possibillity in today's radio business climate. He's the last of the old school in that regard. Regardless of what you may thhink of him persoanlly you've got to admire his career trajectory, he did what they used to say could be done. Bravo. Let's pray for his next gig to be a big one........... (hell whatever keeps him out of the recording studio with Blessed Union of Souls.....) Kidding Dave, not really,....... but good luck!LOL

What balance of research did he use to play his own record 30 times a week for several months? I'd love to see the callout numbers on that one.

LMAO Interesting question Will:Im guessing it was the same sliderule, abicas, bizantine research formula he used to crunch the numbers that Sunny Joe White used when he added "Jackie Lucky", God rest his soul. ;D
