I never got to listen to the Christmas Music on KJOZ but I tuned in today. And they are playing norteña and cumbias. Most likely again Latinos sport radio. But as I was typing this in. KJOZ started playing dead air.

Just wanted to share that 92.5 is playing very low volume. I have to put my radio all the way up to listen to it. It’s playing Latinos Sport Radio but has been music all day. TOH only mentions KJOZ 880 am.

92.5 doesn’t sound as good as it did when it was SPORTS.
It’s playing lots of Norteña and Banda music. Earlier Futbol are Primera was on air on 92.5.

The audio level on 92.5 has been brought up, but is still a bit low. Level is fine on parent KJOZ 880.

KKHT 100.7 and KSHJ 1430 are two other stations in the market that have consistently low audio, though the KSHJ translator on 96.1 sounds fine.

Memo to Audacy: The audio levels on SportsRadio 610 are all over the place. Commercial breaks are much louder than the studio segments. Often the two local hosts are at annoyingly different levels, at at times it sounds they are way off mic. Individual elements within a break are often at widely varying levels. Not sure if this is sloppy board or playout management, or a processor issue.

92.5 didn’t sound good when it was sports. The audio level was often too low, and it usually had rather tinny sound quality. The 97.9 HD-2 often has low audio. 97.5 levels are okay.

92.5 sounds a lot better now. But it’s now Romance (KJFI-LP) with RDS now

Still think ROMANCE on 92.5 is temporary. Haven’t heard any form of announcement on the radio or on their social media of anything referring to them on 92.5.

Word is the K223CW ownership is looking for a new programming client. Those bills for the transmitter space lease keep on coming, and they need income.

On air they only mention 91.5 & 102.5 on air. Their legal ID only mentions the 99.5 translators though.
