New York Governor David Paterson - who assumed the role after previous Governor Eliot Spitzer stepped down in the way of the "Client 9" scandal - says he'd be delighted to replace Spitzer on CNN if things don't work out for him on his new show "Parker/Spitzer":

The Eliot/Spitzer show is not working IMO. The ratings remain poor, and if you can't show numbers in the first month, the odds of rebounding are slim. I think the lack of a live program in that slot is a hindrance.(Yes, I know O'Reilly isn't live either, but they are more subtle about it). The hosts come off as nice, but almost too nice, and trying too hard to show a chemistry. Unless the numbers come up quickly, I predict CNN will make yet another change in this time slot.
