Schechter joined WFAA in September 2006 from WCCO Minneapolis, Minnesota where he served as the station's investigative reporter for seven years.



Before WCCO, Schechter worked for:

- FOX4 WDAF Kansas City, Missouri - Special Projects Reporter

- WFMJ 21 Youngstown, Ohio - reporter

- KDUB-TV Dubuque, Iowa - Anchor/ Reporter
