David Scott slams WEEI and WRKO

A Regan Communications flack was pitching this story around town this week and it makes us wonder what other kind of “deals” the Entercommies are “brokerin”:

(insert Regan press release here!)

Scott comment below:
. . Any pretense that may have remained about WEEI being a news organization of any sort is now forever erased with the Big, Bad (Jason) Wolfe and Killer Julie Kahn “brokering” deals with athletes it “covers.”

(I'd post more but it would get edited by .....)

That "shot" says a whole lot more about David Scott than it does about Entercom...namely, that he's utterly clueless. The day that WEEI starts being a "news" organization is the day their position as the top-rated sports station in the country disappears down the drain. Talk radio, no matter what the flavor, must be...first, last and always...entertainment. Remove the "entertainment" part of the equation, and see what happens to the station's ratings. (If you haven't figured it out yet, Air America can provide details.)

Further, the Regan Communications press release that got him all torqued was about a major-league baseball player becoming the spokesperson for a business. Gee, that's never happened before, has it? I'm shocked...SHOCKED, I TELL YOU! SHOCKED!

I think we're going to have to quarantine this board. Seems EDS is spreading like wildfire...
