David Simpson interviews Pop Star Tiffany - Audio from 1987

Skynet,
Like you, I own thousands of tapes from radio stations all over the country. Can you provide information, for my edification and for the benefit of those who read this board, about how to upload tapes to computer and/or convert them to MP3s. Thanks.

Connect an audio cable from headphone jack of tape player to the line in jack on computer. Then use a program such as "Total Recorder" or "Goldwave" to record what's coming into the computer. Then use your favorite software to convert that wav file into an MP3. I like to use "RazorLame". But "Goldwave" can actually do it too.

When you are recording always make sure you have any applications on your computer that make noise turned off. Things such as instant messengers, weather bugs etc.... Otherwise these sounds will end up on your recordings. When you have your Mp3 file ready to upload, you can use http://www.putfile.com to get it online for free and then provide a nice link to people like I've done here.

Have Fun!

Well, Tiffany was certainly a girl of few words, wasn't she?? :D David really had to drag answers out of her at times.

She sounded terrific singing live in the studio though! I don't recall ever being a Tiffany fan (I was 21 in 1987)..maybe I just became one. ;D

And what would a PRO-FM aircheck be without a "John from Alperts" commercial. ;)
