Davidson Media Group

Just wondering, how many stations does Davidson have that play something other than Urban Gospel or Spanish? I know here in Greenville, SC they run an Oldies station, 103.3 WOLT, it's programmed in-house too. Just wondering if there are any others? Would be nice to see them try different formats some more like they have here. They do a good job.

In Rhode Island they have a station that plays JAZZ Music. It's called 102.7 Festival Jazz. Previously they were a Portugese Station. (called Radio Festival). It's being LMA'd to the same company that runs their Spanish Station (LATINA 100.3 WKKB) in Providence, Rhode Island which apparently is called SUPERMAX FM Inc. http://www.festivaljazz1027.com/ Their studios are located in the same building as a station they were going to buy (SUPERAX 990 The WALE) but the sale fell through.

There's 990 WXCT in Suburban Hartford, CT. It's a talk station LMA'd to Charlie Profit's CAB RADIO Inc. "TalkRadio 990 - Talk Radio for Women and Smart Men." http://www.talkradio990.com/ When Davidson first bought the station in 2004 they LMA'd to Anda Productions who programmed Spanish AC on it as SUPERMAX 990. Then in July 2005 the LMA to Anda Producations ended and they went Tropical and was programmed in-house as POWER 990 (despite the fact Clear Channel owns an Urban Contemporary station on 104.1 FM called Power). In October 2005 they rehired Charlie Profit as GM (he was GM of 990 from 7/01-2/05) and he launched "X Radio 990 Talk Radio for Women". Not Long after he changed it to TalkRadio 990 and on July 1, 2006 Charlie signed a 2 year LMA.
