Dawn Stensland returns tonight to FOX 29 Ten O' Clock news after taking a 4 month break due to her birth of her child. I ask this question, should FOX 29 kept Kerri-Lee on the 10 PM slot in addition of getting the 5 PM newscast starting next Monday and let Dawn go?

At least she didn't make a baby with a turkey baster like Renee.
Now, she'll hire a nanny so she and Larry can be a "power couple" and "have it all."
In a perfect world, they would have fired her when she got knocked up.
If she wants a job, she should stay on the job.

That's just cruel. In fact, it's also illogical. Women have a right to take as much time as they need for maternity leave. If terminated any time close to the birth of her child, that would no doubt be grounds for a lawsuit.

If you're going to fire someone for not working for long periods of time, do you think Dick Clark should get the ax?

And speaking of pregnant Fox anchors - anyone notice Fox 5/NY's Karen Hepp's gotten a little, er, fuller over the last few months? Her cleavage has started to make inroads, plus her male anchor's been doing a few "stand=up" shots, while Karen stays behind the desk.

I think it's safe to put two-and-two together. Congratulations Karen!

No Julius, they should not fire Dawn Stensland. I know you have this obsession with wanting people fired all the time (because they don't live up to YOUR expectations), but there is no reason she should be dismissed. Usually, maternity leave is about 12 weeks. There is no reason to change anything. Please stop it.

Good point... But I guess my eyes did not deceive me:

From her blog: "Right now, I'm 6 months pregnant." This was two months ago, so that would put her toward the end of her third trimester. (There's also an interesting and lengthy post from her about pigeon mites at that link if you're interested.)

You guys are twisting this topic. I asked should she be let go because to me Dawn is not very good reading the news to the viewers and not reading what the prompter says sometimes.

I'd disagree with you on Stensland and say she does a fine job for FOX 29. If anyone from 29 should get the hook, it's Huddleston! He's Tim Lake-esque in his delivery (not a good thing) and he just doesn't seem genuine on the air.
