Dayton Ratings

I see a new 12+ has been posted. A few things I noticed...
WMMX is down a full point from a 6.5 to a 5.5. Looks like Fly has bitten into their audience. Now I know why they're doing those two sets of 75 minutes of commercial-free music every day.
WZLR is back to a 0.9. Bubba in Dayton is a total failure, much like Jay Leno in the 10 PM slot on TV. The signal could be used as an excuse, but i'm not buying it. The Eagle to me is just a station that happens to play a few of the songs that Fly plays, but on a much smaller signal. It still makes no sense at all to put Bubba on a Classic Hits station. They might as well sell it back to WBZI to use as their FM translator instead of the LPFM on 100.3 FM.
WHKO and WLQT both pretty much held steady.
Anyone know how Fly and Hot are doing 12+ without quoting numbers? I'm guessing Fly is in the 3-5 range...Hot i'm guessing is in the 5-6 range. Fly had to go up with Mix losing a full point 12+.

Good Lord, Alans!

By now you should know (because this has been posted over and over and over again) that 12 plus numbers mean nothing. It's the demos that everyone looks at.

And Eagle's numbers are indicative of programming before the recent changes were made. Bubba's numbers are up, so your assertion that it's all "a failure" again shows your lack of knowledge of the ratings. (And when did Fly play "Highway To Hell"?) I'm not trying to beat you up on this, but after reading at least 3 years of your posts, I would have figured you know this. The best is yet to come...and your assertions about programming are just plain wrong, for a number of reasons.

And anyone who tries to make decisions about any station in the market looking at the "posted" numbers just don't know how the book looks as a whole. You can't see from the published numbers...because stations like Fly and Hot are not there. And the 12 plus for them doesn't tell the whole story, either.

And, you can tell the stations that are concerned about their futures, when those stations call out their competitors on the air on an almost daily basis.

I know the 12+ numbers don't mean much...I was giving my opinions on these numbers only...I don't have access to the demo numbers. Is there anywhere that posts the demo numbers?
Personally, I don't care for morning talk shows on the radio. I've never really liked Bob and Tom or any of the other satelitte-based morning shows, Bubba included. I was raised on the "Z Morning Zoo" with Dr. Dave, Wild Bill, Alan Kaye, and Joe Momma at various times, as well as Kerrigan and Christopher on 'TUE, both of which mixed humor bits and personality with music. Right now I usually listen to Mix in the morning because they give a mix of personality with music, which I like, as well as being live and local, again hard to find(I think K-99, Mix, and Lite are the only music stations in Dayton that do live, local shows anymore).
The Eagle and Fly duplicate some, not all, tunes...I heard "Love Is A Battlefield" by Pat Benetar on The Eagle, as well as on Fly(I think even Mix sneaks it in as well). I have noticed Fly leaning a little younger, as well as adding more recent tunes and playing them at least once an hour, i.e. "Her Diamonds" by Rob Thomas. I've never heard Fly play AC/DC's "Highway To Hell", although I did hear them play "You Shook Me All Night Long" on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The joke about Bubba being a failure was mostly a joke on my part to capitalize on the whole Jay Leno-Conan O'Brien debacle on TV.
Which stations are calling each other out? Let me know and i'll listen and see if I catch the "inside" references that others may miss.
Didn't mean to offend anyone. If I did, I am truly sorry. :-[
