WCLI 2.2 up from 1.5
WFCJ 1.6 down form 1.7

Do you think Lite 94.5 FM will Panic with that ratings drop?

Channel is good but if they had local DJ's they would do better.

Click is up, but because of its signal being out of Enon - I don't know how it can even begin to compete with Channel 99.9 and Hot 102.9

I tend to agree with you Don. If the content is there with Click and the signal OK, they will listen. By moving Lite, CC is hoping to offset losses at Mix and help Channel of course. But time will tell if this was a wise move. CC has (I think) gutted the content on Lite.

Donald, while I agree some of the "Premium Choice" formats are kind of bland, it is also true that a good syndicated show beats a marginal or bad local show every time.

Summer ratings? What? The summer book is still being measured. This is the first trend of the summer book. Then we get the second trend, THEN we get the summer ratings.

Will Channel panic with that ratings drop? Probably not. Most companies don't freak out over one trend.

This trend represents them losing what they had in April, keeping the May and June months of the Spring book, and replacing it with what they got in July.

If they had a killer April, they were already preparing for a drop here because they knew they'd lose that sweet month. It's really hard to tell without the monthly data. But you can bet they know whether to be worried or not, but we can't tell.

I was trying to figure out which was which on WDKF and WLQT since the change took place in the middle of this Trend. So WDKF AS LISTED is 99.9, and WLQT AS LISTED is 94.5, correct? The way I thought I had read it was that 99.9 as Channel had the 5 share and Lite on 94.5 had the 3.9.
Say that Channel DID get that 3.9, it proves my point that they need local talent on there ASAP. Channel is now on a big stick. If they want to be a major player in the market, they HAVE to get at least two live day parts on there. I find it hilarious that Channel at night has "The Interactive 9@9" that ISN'T interactive in Dayton at least. I think they can slide by with Elvis Duran in the mornings and Seacrest in the middays, but if they want to go head-to-head with HOT 102.9, then they need to go live and local afternoons and nights. We'll see.

I hear they hired Drake to fit the one local jock bill for 99.9. Clear Channel is the process now of eliminating all but one jock (and/or show) on their stations. The programming will be nationalized with premium choice ... this will happen first in the small markets and then hit the larger markets by year end. The goal is to have all stations on premium choice by mid 2012.

Wilson1000...where did you find this info about the one local jock on CC stations? WOW. If so, off the top of my head, I'd say if that'd happen, this could be the new line-up on some stations:
MIX: Jeff Stevens
WTUE: B-Man
LITE: Kim Faris
CHANNEL: Drake
BIG: All PC already.
WIZE: All PC already.
WONE: ???
So, that'd leave quite a few folks "On the beach" down there. The above is just a guess. I'd think 'TUE would keep B-Man since he already does some PC work, but they could keep TNT instead since he's the PD. Who knows?

Please provide proof of that "one jock" statement.. I do not believe it. I am not saying more stations wont go with PC in more dayparts..but still it will be mostly the market that controls what is actually on within the budget of that market. Bigger markets can support more live dayparts on stations that are bringing in the revenue... I dont see them going the route of all PC except one day part.

I spoke to Drake personally and though neither one of us can say too much, I do know he is in the process of trying to get full control of the station, considering its signal and potential to beat Hot.

I serioulsy cannot say anymore. Just wait and see I guess.

Well, I remember reading a press release some time ago about CC hiring a National Format Director. This led me to believe that basically CC was setting itself up to be the EMF of the secular broadcast community.
