Dayton's Ultimate Oldies Ready to go Live!

Lots of good things happening at WSWO Ultimate Oldies these days, including the forthcoming introduction of live shifts! I wanted to post this email from Brad Beer about our volunteer meeting coming up next week in Huber Heights and encourage those interested to attend. We are building this station up from square one and can use all the help we can get to put a professional sounding product on the air. Nobody gets paid, we just do it for the love of radio.....hope to see you there!

We are getting much closer to the day we can start broadcasting live shows from our new studios at 6126 Chambersburg in Huber Heights. Last night, for the first time, we actually put the control room on the air. We still have some equipment to move, connections to be made, and a lot of adjustments before we are ready to do a regular schedule of live shows.

We will have our first Volunteers Meeting on Tuesday, June 5 at 7pm. It will be in the Community Room at the Huber Heights Library, 6160 Chambersburg. The library is in the same shopping center as our studios, which you may visit before or after the meeting. A lot of you have expressed a desire to help out at the station. It matters not whether you have been helping us over the past several years, or plan to do so in the future. Please attend. We can use all kinds of help. Not just doing sports or live music shows. But also to produce community announcements, help coordinate and do remote broadcasts, engineering help, write our Newsletter, contact businesses and listeners, and many other things.

If you haven't already done so, please email me back to let me know whether or not you can attend the volunteers meeting. Please pass the word on to people you know who may have an interest in helping.
