D'Backs to Air 15 - 20 Games OTA in 2025.

I wonder if the streaming services like YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, and Sling, will have the Channel 12 games blacked out in order to protect Dbacks.TV. YTTV already axed KTVK and KASW completely because of their sports coverage (and additional money requested by them), but I doubt they can do that to a network affiliate like KPNX.

Interesting. I was not expecting KPNX to pick up D-Backs games because they are an NBC affiliate. I wonder what they will do with the NBC programming on those Friday nights. Also, I wonder what happened to the other 5 - 10 games the D-Backs were talking about airing over-the-air. Could they do a deal with another Station for the remaining games I wonder. 🤔
The NBC shows could be bumped to a subchannel.

As for whether KMSB or KTTU will be the station in Tucson that will carry the games, it's anyone's guess. It's either pre-empt the UFL (which has no fan base) or the weak CW Friday lineup.

Fun fact: this is the first time in 40 years that KPNX has had the rights to in-season local sports (the last time was the 1984-85 Phoenix Suns season).

They will iether air the NBC programing overnight from 12-37 am to 3-37 am, most likely what will happen. They might put it on a subchannel unlikely though. Here in Denver on the Tegna own KUSA when they have the Nuggets or Avalanch games they do the first option of airing the NBC shows overnight.

First game on Channel 12 will be Friday 4/25 vs the Atlanta Braves. Coverage will include pre- and post-game shows, and will start at 6 PM. Prime time programming will air between 12:38 and 3:38 AM Saturday morning.

The primetime NBC programming might not air though considering the funeral for Pope Francis is scheduled for early Saturday morning here during the overnight hours here in AZ.

And this is indeed the case as an episode of Grosse Pointe Garden Society that airs after Seth Myers is scheduled (according to Gracenote) to get cut off at 12:55 for NBC News coverage of the funeral & will join Dateline NBC in progress when it concludes, should in end before 3:37. So, pretty much if you want to watch NBC primetime in the Valley, unless you're close enough via antenna to get stations in Yuma or Tucson, it's pretty much Peacock or on-demand in a day or two on ur cable provider.

According to TitanTV, it looks like they moved the NBC Friday Prime Time programming to Saturday Late Night/Early Sunday Morning starting at 12:03 AM after Saturday Night Live and conclude at 3:03 AM.

Apparently KTTU CW18 in Tucson will also be airing San Diego Padres games in addition to Diamondbacks.

And no blackouts on either YTTV or MLB.TV. Channel 12 is airing the standard DBACKS.TV feed, which is also airing on the latter. Frankly, I was expecting YTTV to black it out, given what they did to Channels 3 and 61.

I'm assuming you, if in the Phoenix market like I am, subscribe to Dbacks.tv considering I checked just now on MLB.tv & it directs me after clicking watch to the radio feed which means TV is blacked out there.

Yes, I am a subscriber. That's the only way to get the games not airing on Channels 10 or 12, or ESPN.

Channel 12 just announced that they'll air one Spring Training and 10 regular season games in the 2026 season.
