50kw days. Main lobe over Fort Worth, somewhat lesser lobe towards Dallas, small lobe towards Denton & Collin counties.

890 watts nights. Fairly decent lobe to Dallas, but pattern towards FW misses the SW part of the city. Lousy to nonexistent coverage of Collin county.

Overall, better than the old 5/1kw facility that dated back to the KXOL days, but there are still holes.

How many months do you think 1360 will last? They are so cute.

Just saw a DART bus today with 1360's ad emblazoned all over one side (not just your typical little rectangular sign, mind you.) Nice to see someone out there actually PROMOTING a new station.

Their success just depends. The executives they're after surely can't pick up AM in an office building. They have to depend on in-the-car time to draw them in. Once there's more Dallas-based programming, it won't feel like what it is now, a station basically piped in from Houston, complete with Houston ads and frequent Houston call letter IDs. At least it's something DIFFERENT and, by golly, it's something in ENGLISH on the AM band. And it looks to be well-financed, so there may actually be time to grow the thing, instead of seeing your typical corporate freak-out over one bad book.

Also, a station like this isn't as dependent on ratings as your usual talker. They get a more affluent targeted audience that appeals to financial services and upscale firms. They may not be more than a blip in the ratings, but could make more money than many higher rated stations.

Very good points! Thye are very well financed unlike previous business formats that have failed here in the last decade. Thye are not concerned with being in top ten or top 15 in the market. Their audience is in the financial district, and yes they do stream on the internet. They will be successful becuase they are being patient and slowly building it up,instead of just throwing it on the air.

Even if executives could get the radio signal, why would they want to when they call watch business news on cable or satellite ... or use the Internet?
