Holy Crap! It's the first I've heard. It is kinda fitting though, since 102-5 is barely a blip on the Tampa Bay radio landscape, so was Baretta. WTF happened?

I agree... the guy was never anything special and did have one hell of an ego. Was always surprised how long he was able to hang on to that gig.... I'm guessing it's because he was probably the lowest paid afternoon guy in the market. Now... could they be looking to bring in some former Thunder talent. I know Cathy Taylor was let go with the changes but last I heard Ledge was still hanging around CC. Could either of those 2 be close to making the move down the dial?

I can't tell you how much pleasure I derive from people on this board that think they have some secret, inside scoop. But then I now even question my own mental malfunctions by wasting time even reading any of the usual dribble from so many radio-wannabes that swirl like flies around this crap. I should fire myself!

If I were making such "fantasy postings", why are you so upset at them? I mean "STFU" and "smugly ignorant mindset"? I've read a thousand inane postings on here before and I just shake my head. That's what you're supposed to do-- read it and go "oh boy" and forget about it. But I guess I struck a nerve with you on this one.
Speaking of being smug, you do realize you've been crowing about 107.3 and 102.5 ever since you got here, right? I guess a vanilla classic hits station and a classic rocker that han't been able to dominate the market in its six years of existence is something to crow about
And you also realize that any broadcast school monkey could do what you do: read the cards, schedule the music, print out the playlist, and do it all again tomorrow.
I guess what I'm getting at John is I am truly amazed at how you took a former employee of yours, and completely trashed him on a message board. I just find that completely irrational, and quite honestly lame, for someone in your position. The fact that nobody noticed or cared that he was let go three weeks ago said enough. So why did you have to kick him in the head here? Did you really need that big of an ego stroke?
I don't know Baretta, nor do I really care for him or whatever he did to set you off. I just hope you run your stations better than you run your mouth on this message board. Everyone reading this knows ANYONE can get let go from this business ANY day for ANY reason. If you're not careful you'll find yourself in the same bread line as Baretta.
