Dead Air on 100.7 translator in Edison tonight

nd2023

Banned
The 100.7 translator in Edison is broadcasting dead air tonight. There's a pretty strong tropo opening, and 96.9 WFPG and 97.3 WENJ are coming in stronger than Hot 97. The HD radio at the translator site is probably not getting HD reception of WQHT. It's a moot point anyway because WZXL is blasting away the translator's coverage area tonight.

Also, 104.7 is a mix of the translator and Q105.

Yes there is. All of the VHF and UHF ham bands are wide open.

More tropo tonight and I passed by the translator site. I heard dead air again on 100.7, and WZXL completely took over in New Brunswick. WFPG and WENJ dominated 96.9 and 97.3 with no IBUZ.
Wonder if it's possible to feed the translator another way besides an HD radio tuned to 97.1-HD2. It was more reliable when Humdesi was on 98.7-HD2, since it had the higher HD power and the most common tropo catch on 98.5 isn't as strong as WFPG and WENJ.
