Dead Air on the Lake

106.5 the Lake has been broadcasting dead air for at least the past 20 minutes and the HD2 subchannel is gone. Anyone know what may have happened?

I noticed KISS 96.5 and Majic 105.7 also had dead air during this time but audio is back on now.

Oak Tree lost power and the Generator failed to function properly.

I started listening again lately. I think this is one of the best radio stations in Cleveland.
They're a little over board on the " you just picked this song " gimmick, but their music library is solid and the recorded jokes between the songs are still funny!

106.5 the leak is not a true radio station. Those jokes you hear in between songs is keeping a human dj from having a job. It has gotten old very fast.

Voice tracking and the Telecom Bill are keeping live human DJs from having a job, not some clever recorded "imaging ".

Jim4rock, you are mistaken. 106.5 = real radio station. 87.7 audio from a TV station = fake radio station.

Those sweepers at night, overnights, weekends, middays on 87.7? ALSO keeping a DJ from having a job.

106.5 is 5th 6+ in the numbers released last week. Not old and not over.

Plus, The Lake is beating out the New 102 in the ratings. Plus, 106.5 has hired a new Executive Producer, who has the same name of a former governor. The Lake is here to stay for a while.
