Dead Air on WEBE 108

I was listening to Norman and heard a good 2-3 minutes of dead air this morning after 8am. What is the deal? Throw this guy a bone and give him a part time producer. He sounds like he cant handle all the different traffic and weather and news pieces of the show.

It's really a mess. Sounds terrible!

Re: Dead Air on WEBE 108 This Morning

What's Pam Landry doing these days? Sebastian?

Re: Dead Air on WEBE 108 This Morning

I don't know all the details, but bear in mind they are building new studios in the building, WEBE has been in a temporary studio and they have a new automation system to get accustomed to. Could have just been a bad day today.

Re: Dead Air on WEBE 108 This Morning

I know Pam is still doing radio stuff but I will let someone else speak up for what or where she is in radio these days.

More Dead Air on WEBE This Weekend?

I don't know what the story is at WEBE, but on the midday this past Saturday I heard lots of dead air, songs not firing, really loose segues, multiple elements firing at once etc. I don't know if it's the new automation system / new studio or operator error. I didn't recognize the voice of the jock was on, it was a younger female.

That used to be a station where that kind of thing NEVER happened! It's a shame really.

Speaking of dead air, something must've happened on West Peak in Meriden, because there were long outages today for both WDRC-FM 102.9 of Hartford and WPKT-FM 90.5 of Meriden. At the time of this post, WPKT-FM is still off the air.
