Deal or No Deal

How long Deal or No Deal be off on NBC since The Cooking Show take over now???
Has anyone knows when it will be back on NBC??

I believe it will return on Monday 4/24 and will be on 3 times next week. I'm already hungry for more after not seeing it on tonight. I don't see what the major appeal is for the cooking show.

Apparently it doesn't have one. It is not doing well in the ratings.

Confirmed with nbcumv.com, it's another 3-a-weeker. The public's speaking, but I'm with the guy from Endemol who expressed concern about NBC's 3-a-week strategy.

Meanwhile, the cooking show is being burnt to a crisp. There's no doubt in my mind Miss USA and the Donald wish they had Howie as a lead-in.

After a Summer break (the last episode of the season airs June 5th), "Deal Or No Deal" will be back in the Fall, but will be seen just once a week (except for sweeps, where it may be seen a couple of times a week). It will likely be broadcast Mondays at 8 P.M. (ET/PT).

Personally, I wouldn't have minded seeing "Deal Or No Deal" stay on the air in first-run episodes through the Summer, once a week (perhaps Mondays at 8 ET/PT). It probably would have gotten far more viewers than anything else NBC could put on in that timeslot during the Summer months.

I think NBC is trying to do the right thing (for once) and not overkill the show. They don't want it to be another "Millionaire," where everyone gets burned out on it due to overexposure. I would not even run repeats in the summer, just to build excitement over the fall.

I agree. Overexposure killed "Millionaire" and "The Weakest Link". I would love to see each of the networks do at least one game show per week. I think that it would be rather fun. I would love to see more episodes of the million dollar Price is Right, a high stakes version of Jeopardy, etc. I really wish someone would try Match Game again and really try to re-create the fun of the 70's and early 80's. That show was hilarious!

This episode, to air June 5th, will have a giant prize pool. I am not sure how much the top prize will be but it will be a good episode.
