Dean Blundell Stops Tucson Funeral Protest

You may have heard that Westboro Baptist Church, in keeping with their tradition of protesting at funerals, was planning to show up at the funeral of the 9-year-old victim of the tragic shootings in Tucson.

Now, there's no need to worry about that. The church has called off that plan - and taking responsibility is Edge 102.1 morning host Dean Blundell:

Bull. The "church" called off the protest because the Arizona legislature created a law restricting their ability to get close to the funeral service. It became a Class 1 Misdemeanor and could have resulted in every protester serving 6 months in the slammer. And the way the general attitude is here in Arizona I'm absolutely certain they would have done every single day.
