DEANNA LEE GONE FROM WSM

All Access is reporting that Clueless WSM-FM morning co-host DeANNA LEE has exited after less than a year at the station. Previously she spent five years at COX Country WZZK/BIRMINGHAM, where she was the midday personality.

That leaves Rick Marino all by his lonesome in the morning.

Budget cut to keep Rick's checks from bouncing?

Drunk at a remote :p.......hell i thought that was part of a remote.. :D.. listeners used to bring us all kinds of alcohol in the old 63 Dodge van..I'm sure management looked the other way ::) as long as it was kept "under the turn table" so to speak..guess there's just no fun left in radio anymore.. ??? me longs for the days of yore i suppose.. :'(

Working in San Diego in the mid-80's, we had a vending machine that was the meeting place after 5. Push the Mr. Pibb button and get a Bud Lite. Fanta was Miller Lite.

Ah the good old days.

I heard her last week sometimes. Adds nothing to the show, and it sounds like Rick and her are reading off a script. Bad Radio.

No, I haven't heard her on there in forever. It looks like they stopped hiring wanna be singers for air talent over there.

I hear Beth Brightwell from Florida will be joining Marino next week I believe.

I'm sure they didn't pay her to relocate. I'm also sure there is some good talent left in this town (unless they've all found REAL jobs). Is it really necessary to pull from outside the market? Does the idea of nurturing talent not exist anymore? Do GM's even know what that means?

You answered all your own questions by asking the question. Sadly, that level of intellect is far beyond the capacity of most of the brains making decisions.
