...as you know I live in radio market #5 and I have been a very good boy ;) this year. I sure hope you got my letter asking for a smooth jazz radio station. So far this year all I have received is a recycled rock station that sucks. I'll go to sleep early tomorrow night and leave cookies and that bottle of Crown you are so fond of and hopefully when I wake up Christmas morning my stocking will be full of smooth jazz.

Thanks,
Jeff ;D

I know what Santa can bring me... "Jazz Fusion Players" Channel from CC's Format Lab on one of the local FM HD channels would be nice! Please please purty please! I'll be good for a whole year!

Doeesn't work that way. Ya had to have been good all year. ;D

As for me, I'd like some 80's music on the airwaves of my community leader.

Since my last dash of hope for strong jazz on a big stick was obliterated with an 80s - 90s callback, I would like an XM tuner. Please, oh please, Santa... and for CC's stock to plummet. :D

Dear Santa,

Please bring us a station that plays 50s and 60s oldies and djs who actually have talent and can entertain without reading liner cards and promos.

Um, in other words Santa, bring us a station with no commercials (wait, KZPS tried that and it didn't work, however, it DOES work for KEOM).

OK, well at least a station that plays 50s and 60s oldies with djs who actually have talent (wait, KLUV, Jody Dean, oh yeah, I forgot).

KLUV plays no 50s music and very little 60s music.

Duh! ::)

That was in response to Terd Ferguson above who gave the impression that he thought that KLUV played 50s and 60s music which they don't.

I know what it was in response to, and he never made that claim. Read it again, he's "asking" for such a station.

Their HD2 does, and it's even commercial free!

Radi0chick,
I was wondering (actually hoping) you would show up on the board again to shed some light, share some secrets or atleast drop some hints (if you know) about what may be happening next at KEGL.

The new guy arrives next week? Is he bringing anyone with him? My guess is that the jock line up has already been set in place, promotions in place, etc..

not to threadjack this thread, but I don't have any further info on what personalities are coming. I haven't even asked to be honest. Sorry.
