Dear Walton & Johnson

As I listened to your show today, I chuckled over you guys bashing everyone who is on "The Hills," because, frankly, The Hills sucks a big one. However, if I wanted to listen to one sided political (bash) talk in the morning, I'll flip to the AM side for that. Thanks for hooking me into listening to your show, only to unhook myself and pop in a CD. The Aarow blows anyways.

Arrow does suck I stoped listening to radio pretty much a yr ago and listen to my cb radio

Complaining about "The Hills" is political bashing? You're not being very clear, here. Tell us more. DJ: Thank you for posting on a radio website about how you don't listen to radio anymore.

Well...he said he listens to his CB now. That must be great listening. No politics, no endless babble there...oh no, and Mike that is a form of radio..so he gets a free pass. Hey DJ, can you give me the 20 of a choke n' puke near mile marker 121? Over and out.

no no no. THe Hills bit was ok, but when they started Obama bashing, that's when I turned it off. That's what I meant.

Yep. Would be nice if they would leave the political science to Rush Pillhead.
They broadcast in a few places that really don't find that funny. (read as Camp and Fort)

Seriously! It's ok to crack a joke here and there about politicians, but lean on either side, and I quickly change the station.

W&J -- are they still on?
I have not listened to the arrow at all since D&R left.
Come to think of it, I quit listening to air radio period.
XM at work, MP3s in the car...

I use to listen but their schtick wears thin pretty fast. I can't listen to them any more. The other day I was getting my tires changed and they were blaring over the loud speakers in the lobby. I had to go sit outside. Same thing happened when I was getting my oil changed at another shop. I guess I know where their fan base is now.

A very low form of American refuses to respect his / her president regardless of audience.
It's poor humor and it's disgraceful.

Then you would feel the same about:
Media people making fun of President Bush by making his appearance resemble a chimp or Alfred E, Newman on Mad magazine.

AND, The current Hudson & Harrigan who made fun of President Clinton, President HW Bush and President Reagan on KILT in the 1980s & 1990s. (I was there)

Or Kenny Miles on Superock 104 KRBE in the 1970s as he made fun of President Carter (remember President Jimmy?) and President Gerald Ford (Remember President Jerry?)

Or the late Jim Tate on 790 KULF in the early 1970s on President Nixon (Remember Competent Millhouse?)

Also remember the altered EXXON logo which was turned into "NIXXON, Same Old gas!"

How about Vaughn Meader in the early 1960s with his 1st Family album making fun of President Kennedy which got a lot of airplay on KILT and other great radio stations across the country.

How about radio star Bob Hope who regularly made fun of Presidents Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt and Hoover in the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and all the way to the 1990s. (Heard on KXYZ, KPRC, and KTRH. I mention these because the board moderators will find this whole thread or parts of it non-radio and it will be moved to "Off the Air" or some other silly forum. It happened on HOUSTON RADIO on all the stations in HOUSTON that I have mentioned.)

Satire and president bashing has been around since the beginning of our country in newspapers and magazines before broadcasting.

Some of it you will like and some of it you won't. Some of it will be funny and some of it will be stupid. The bottomline is this: 'IF YOU DON'T LIKE WALTON AND JOHNSON, DON'T LISTEN! That's what that knob is for; give a twist and listen to something else.

I render your argument void.

Shrub.

Discuss.

Chuck, you're right. I don't know why I went off. President bashing is a staple of humor.
upstate29651, i'm not a shrub. I'm a cypress knee.

SMFD!

Having listened to W&J since before they moved to Houston, there is nothing really new about the political position of the show.

Kind of like Ted Nugent, chances are if you go to one of his shows, you're going to hear some political talk that is probably not to your liking.
