i was just told kat announced on the air that wrno was flipping. i dont know what she said i wasnt listning :) but i suspect its this coming week. and as someone else said probably thursday. the cc flip day. anyone here actually listen to wrno? can anyone confirm what was said?
 
Didn't hear it, but the word I got in the last 36 hours was May 22 at the earliest. However, you would think they'd want to flip in time for the mayoral runoff on the 20th.
 
Clear Channel actually used to be able to keep format flips quiet, but the employees seem to have lost a lot of loyalty since Katrina. Next week the 18th falls on Thursday and the week after it's the 25th.WRNO's signal since Katrina seems greatly diminished around Louisiana. There were rural areas where I could ALWAYS hear WRNO, sometimes faintly--but at least you could hear what was on the station, and other times much stronger during those foggy, high humidity mornings. Now in the same areas--nothing from RNO. I've been getting 99.5 out of Lake Charles and KISS San Antonio for weeks now. :D
 
Quiet from places like here is one thing but on air is something else.... Never heard about a CC employee commenting like that on air.... Last ditch effort to keep the flip at bay with listener outrage?RFLA

Probably. Just another reason why she should be fired immediately so she can't make trouble. :-X
 
RNO is transmitting from a tower in Algiers at low power until CC can get their Chalmette facility running again. That's why the spotty coverage.
