DEATH OF THIS BOARD....CC LAYOFF'S????

i can't believe how dead this board is.

CC has 400 million in cuts coming tuesday.

how will that effect cc new orleans?

no one has even mentioned this? all that is on this board is WIST and Sunny flipping (wow huge news)
and inquiries into the history of cajun pop radio...

does ayone know anything? with 400 million in cuts nationwide who is getting axed at cc new orleans??????????

Who's left???

Hopefully they'll axe Castner & Wallensky and Osterlind, hire someone who's local and cares about this area.

I don't think anyone is live at 104.1. Not much to cut at NOE. I don't know anything about Q or WYLD. I know there are some underperformers in Sales that come with high guarantees because of their longevity in the market. There's always Dick Lewis and the PD at 99.5.

Traffic is regional so that should be safe.

We'll know on Obama Day, so why speculate?

My guess is the cards and rumors are staying pretty well secret, as Cheap Channel does monitor this board and could give them an excuse to get rid of someone

104.1 is already full VTed so that rules that one out...

But as Nolaradiobuff said about NOE, I think we will see more at the Q and YLD-FM than anything as they are still local heavy on air talent compared to NOE,RNO and 104.1 who use lots more VT material

Everyone is subject to termination at CC New Orleans and everywhere else. They don't have much to cut, but they'll cut anything local to go to their "regional" new product, which is irrelevant. The whole broadcast industry for terrestrial radio has become irrelevant, so whatever they do next is just someone else on the street as they watch their income evaporate and the thriving world of radio as some of us knew it dies. These people are idiots, but they're not alone. All of the big boys have had their goombies cut off from their greed, and now their greed has come back for whatever life blood is left. I couldn't be happier to see the failures of their 15X purchases that aren't worth -5 times their cash flow. I hope they all end up working as drug dealers and pimps, since that's really about all they're qualified to do anyway.

Why does such a small man like Dickie need such a big vehicle? Napoleonic example to the max.

If you think THIS board's dead, go see Missouri. Went there to see about any CC changes, since their excellent Springfield AOR, KXUS/US97 seems to still be intact, airstaff wise. Nothing new in over a week; and several of the top threads have had no new posts since mid-December. Hell, maybe Chickendookie Channel kept their airstaffs, and fired the whole damned state. :D

Where have I ever implied you are a fool? Nowhere. But from your last post, you, yourself have removed all doubt. And please, get the brand correct. It's Nissan not Toyota. And as far as FUNNY...either you are or you're not and those who aren't, shouldn't try. A bit of wisdom for your future posts because they fall in the latter.

Holy batbarf, Batbubba! Back on Jan 21st, I posted "If you think this board is dead, you ought to see Missouri." OK, just took my own advice. There was a new topic and two replies, all three items coming yesterday (Friday, the 13th). Prior to that, nothing since December 17th.
