Debbie Diaz lands at 92.1 in FW

I applied for that job too and was surprised to get a very nice e-mail from the program director. I'm glad I lost out to Debi. It only makes perfect sense to me. Congrats Ms. Diaz....I hope I get the honor of working with you again some day.

That's great news! I have always liked those studios right on the street with so much foot traffic... I've often thought that one of the TV stations should build a street level studio for news broadcasts from Sundance Square. It would sort of be like WFAA's Victory studios except with people outside. ;)

ROFL. That made my day. :)

And, yay for Ms. Diaz. Glad she'll be back on the air soon.

Seems like her hubby works there already, right?

And congrats to Debi!! It'll be strange to hear her spinning country tunes, tho!

Asolutely GREAT NEWS!

I wasn't aware that Mike Crow vacated the mornings there or that the (now former) mid day lady (Debbie Lee, I think) had left. Things are changing there!

Happy to hear Debbie Diaz in a good spot!

I knew I didn't have the mid-day name right - it was Michelle Lee.

Things have definitely changed...and not for the better. The music has gone way down hill of late. I havent heard so much kitsch since the 70's

kinda funny to hear a "Country Legends" jingle...and go into a Marie Osmond song.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad to be back on the air and working at 92.1 (KTFW) right in the heart of Sundance Square!
I'm excited about the new job and challenge. Just want to clarify that Michelle Lee is still very much on board. She is going to be part of the morning show..out and about doing van hits. Remember if you can't pick up the station where you live/work, you can listen online...they are streaming at www.countrylegends921.com.

Is this the Debbie Diaz who was on a satelite oldies format in the early 1990's ? She was carried on KOLA 99.9 San Bernardino and was one of the best jocks ever on that station.
