Dec. 12+ ratings: Big book for Big D!

http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb061

WDRC-FM's number is public again, and what a number it is -- a whopping 8.2, placing it fourth overall, 0.1 behind WTIC-FM and only 1.1 behind second-place WWYZ. Apparently the station's focused, mainly uptempo playlist that's heavy on mid/late '70s and early '80s titles is connecting with the audience. Good job!

And the number for WDRC AM is also public, and shouldn't be. And the same should be said for WPOP's last rating. At least, when WPOP was the ESPN affiliate, the numbers were ever so slightly above the "Mendoza Line". Flip to either NBC or CBS Sports a possibility?? And I will say this again, that WDRC's airing of the c-list loons is hardly "must listen radio". I wonder who they will be replacing "The Wrap" with when the WSJ ends the program in April? Also, noticed the large drop in the ratings for WTIC AM down to 5.1. I guess EL Rushblo, Vicevich and Rolwand are really bringing in those coveted demographics and advertisers?? One would think that airing UCONN basketball would keep the ratings at least stable? Guess not!!

Is this the December PPM period or the "holiday book"? In either case, the loss of "Kool 101" wouldn't be much of a factor in WDRC's rise since they flipped about a week before Christmas.

...nobody said it would. WKNL has no usable signal in the greater Hartford area. Tune your radio to 100.9 in the Hartford area and you're listening to Kix 100.9.
