You've got to be kidding me. An article from Maysville, KY is what you offer as proof of his "respect around the world"?
The article didn't even have its facts straight. How long has it been now since Dees hosted the morning show on KIIS, as it claims?
I'm not denying that Rick Dees is a talented radio personality. There was a time when I was a faithful listener, though eventually I lost interest because the act became overly predictable over time. Plenty of people liked the act, though, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him resurface in L.A. I stand by my speculation that the KRTH morning gig was his to have, but his ego priced him out of the job. If he wants the job, and he's willing to stash the ego and slash his pay demands, I still think it's his to have, as Horrible Hamilton doesn't seem to be working out.
