VBF.... Very Brief Format

68/RKO is a given... That was the gold standard.... WVBF was Top 40 from 71 to 80, not so brief. I wouldn't mind hearing the late Bud Ballou era again. I didn't care for their AC incarnations... It never sounded focused to me.

WHTT might also deserve another whirl.... circa 82 - 83 was the best that station ever sounded in my opinion.

I am surprised that no one has taken the Big 68 format and reproduced it on the internet.
I wouldn`t mind hearing the NOW radio imaging again. Either online or in HD.
Another choice would be WHDH (later as WCOZ) when they played beautiful music.

I could go for a local WBCN, not the watered down CBS version. FNX just doesn't have a good signal on the south shore (Sorry WBIMDJ)

1. WBCN 1970s
2WCAS 740AM 1972-1977
3.WEEI-FM early 1970s but live not voice-tracked.

Yes, WCAS 740AM with Tony Cennamo

WBOS when it was country in the mid 80's
WBCS 96.9 (before merging with WKLB and moving to 99.5 and 102.5)
WMRQ 103.3 (again in the late 80s)
WCOP 1150 in the early-mid 70s as a country station
WACQ 1150 Top 40 in the late 70s

WMEX circa 1965:

Larry Justice
Mel Miller
Dan Donovan (the one who went to Minneapolis)
Arnie Ginsburg
Jerry Williams (or Steve Fredericks)
Larry Glick

WNAC 680 around 1962

Roy Jim and Gus in the morning
Louise Morgan
Music From Studio X at night

They were old fashioned even in 1962, but had a certain class.

WBZ Dick Summer Subway show circa 1967.

The Mothers of Invention "Help I'm A Rock" on 50,000 watts clear channel AM!

WNTN Progressive Rock days 1969(?)-1971

Uncle "T" on WBUR circa 1969.
