Deidre Degatta on Kiss 108

Was listening to Kiss 108 this Saturday afternoon. Deidre Degatta was doing the afternoon show on Saturday, I thought she was let go. Don't they already have a ton of weekend jocks in Katie Hutch and Spanky. Why would Deidre a former midday jock want to be on the air one or two days a week. Anyone have information on that. Seems like the firings at Clear Channel are getting overturned. At Jamn Maverick was let go and now he is doing overnights. Doesn't make sense.

I'm going with "she needs to eat." CC doesn't hate her, they just don't want to pay her health insurance.

Not sure how you define a ton, but 2 doesn't seem like much...especially if one is on vacation, etc. It was good to hear Deidre again.

Sure it does. Look at Ed McMann who was let go FOR Dierdre but kept on the Clear Channel payroll to voicetrack some five or six stations. Voicetracking as many stations as he is probably pays him less than half of what he made full time at kiss but it is a check and he has a family to support. from what I have heard clear channel actually sprang for his home studio set up including an audio enclosure for him which run thousands of dollars. Someone said "Clear Channel doesn't hate her they just dont want to pay her health" Im sure that is right. I doubt clear channel has anything to do with it, Cadillac brought her to Jamn, brought her to Kiss, Im sure he wants to do the right thing by her as best he can. half a paycheckk is better than none and it's easier to get a job already having a job.

Also, Hustle Simmons was on Jamn 94.5 this afternoon and this morning on Jamn was Marc Clark. Unbelievable, he was on the radio this Sunday morning, he is a classic veteran at Jamn, hope they keep him on the radio a lot. Seems like all the changes they did and released all the jocks, they suddenly took back. Doesn't make sense.
 
Marc Clark was not released he left Jamn to go do nights at Star. Then went back to Jamn when Star went away.
