Thanks so much for these airchecks. That one was aired a year before WHN flipped from country to a sports format known as 1050 WFAN. That station was short-lived until 1988 when the station moved to 660 in October, 1988 after WNBC ended its 66-year run as a heritage radio station.
 
Lino, thanks for the airchecks. It was great to hear that sunny voice that woke up country music fans in New York for years. For fans of the type of radio that I believe in ( which means a DJ with a smile in his voice without a zoo format or talking about one's sex life all morning) this was a fun trip down memory lane 8) Thanks again for the memories.
