Deleted thread?

Good question. Last we were talking about was how dismal The Beat is doing... I know someone either from Univision or who used to work with Univision is one of the moderators. So could that be a coincidence?

The thread was deleted because the ratings information was copied from somewhere without giving credit to the source.

Wouldn't it been best to delete the post vs the entire thread? This is part of problem with this site being so inactive.

As Frank says, the thread was based on a full capture of another website's content, which is not legal.

As to Univision, all groups have an occasional underperformer. We work on them.

Can'tt the moderators just modify the original post and add a link, if they know where the content came from?

why should they do your or the other posters work for them? Rules here are fairly easy to follow

In the case of the full copy of a ratings table, there are nearly a dozen sites that publish ratings releases. Neither Frank nor I are going to spend an hour or two looking for which one.

Part of the problem is exactly that... no source, so no credit. And the full table was published with no reference to where it came from.

Why not just have a mod edit it then? Seems odd to just dump the entire conversation instead of deleting the context that is in violation.

they didnt knowq what source/site the ratings came from... and if the edit the entire thread, the rest becomes irrelevant

I've used other boards where copyright violations were simply edited out with a note from the mod explaining the edit.

Unless the content in question was quoted too many times, in which case I understand not wanting to scour through the thread to make multiple edits.

But I regress. Not my forum, not my rules.

The entire conversation was about the deleted post (which was the first post in the thread). Leaving the rest makes no sense.

Back to the original topic, I find it odd that KTFM-HD2 is listed as Oldies.
