Delilah is moving in Milwaukee!

Hello Everyone! Due to time constraints and trouble loging in with the new lay out, I've been gone for a while, but I'm glad to say that I have returned!

Yesterday, I was listening to WMYX, when I heard a promo for Delilah! According to the promo, her show will start on June 26th. I never understood why WOKY picked her up in the first place. I can imagine they received a lot of complaints from their target demo! I think if WOKY wants to do something creative in the evenings, they should do all 50's and 60's music. What do you think?

She may not fit on WOKY, but she certainly doesn't fit with WMYX either.

Could it be possible that Entercom has decided to go more AC with WMYX?

Jim

WOKY would be a perfect place for 50s/early 60s music. Most of that music was recorded in mono and sounds just fine on AM radio. But for some reason, radio avoids music from that era like the plague. Guess they figure that those of us who like it are too old. I've heard that WOKY's Friday "retro" show plays mostly late '60s, like WRIT. Too bad. Thank goodness for satellite radio.

Tim Cuprisin hints in his Tuesday 6/20 Journal/Sentinel column that WOKY could be switching to Oldies. I'd like to see Clear Channel pattern WOKY after their Oldies station in Chicago, WRLL. That station is a low-power AM and doesn't do much in the ratings. But they've been on the air for almost 3 years, so they must be paying the bills.
