Delilah / Jill FM

Have you all noticed that Delilah is no longer on 92.7 Jill FM? I just happened to be listening to Jill FM on my iPod and noticed that she wasn't on so, I looked at the Delilah wesbsite and I don't see 92.7 Jill FM listed anymore. Thank god!! ;)

Yes her show did not fit with their fromat. Lots of stations accross the counrty are dropping her. The Deliah curse is still alive in LA. KBIG and KJLL made very wise choices dropping her program

KBIG tried running her twice in the late 90's and mid 2000's before they finally realized that she is ratings poison in Southern California. But CC's Premiere turned up the pressure to put her on, so she's had her chances. And to think, CC wanted to put her on KOST. Imagine how badly a screw up that would have been.

CC already screwd up KOST years ago might as well finish it off. Take note CC Los Angeles does not like syndicated radio shows.

CC has done terrible things with KOST. If it weren't for those working there that have been with the station all these years it would sound even worse. The problem is that CC corporate has been making over all of their AC stations to sound almost the same and it would seem that they know nothing about this format. All these programming people think that AC needs to evolve, they just don't seem to have a clue as to how to do that without killing off everything that makes a station a "local" success and cluttering up the format with too many interruptions. Ahh, rant over!

I am sorry, but Delilah's show is just dreadful! Her sappy voice and presentation is simply nauseating. Really, it's almost as if she's doing a show for people with special needs - no joking there, that's the low intellectual level this thing sinks to. Perhaps that kind of stuff plays well in Peoria, but people in larger markets have higher expectations and know better.

All I can say is that there's still hope as far as the tastes of Angelinos are concerned!

I'm happy Delilah was dropped from Jill FM. She has the worst sounding show that I ever heard! KJLL needs to stay with there full automation but, they need to add some humor to there voice overs! The actress from Canada was doing a great job! Other then that Jill FM sounds kinda like KOST minus the DJ's.

Yes Jill does sound like the old KOST from the 90's. I wonder if the stations are up for sale who would pay for the stick?

I'm noticing that they are just identify Jill FM as "92.7FM". Are they getting ready to change the name of the station? Hmm!

Art Laboe and Delilah are the worst evening shows I've ever heard.

Delilah is the worst show that I ever heard! What do you think about John Tesh? I like Tesh because he has some pretty good facts that he shares on his show. :)

I've never heard Tesh, so I can't judge him.

Yet, despite a rather ugly drop in the summer months, KOST was back at #2 in the market in 25-54 in the October book showing a remarkable degree of resiliancy. November showed them #1 before the Christmas music took over (the November book ended 11/10) and in December they were nearly double the #2 station with a three point lead in the demo.

Like all AC stations, there is a constant front door-back door churn. New listeners in their early 30's (average) come in the front door, while ones over 55 are nudged out the back. Otherwise, you get KMPC syndrome where it is hard to tell who is older, the jocks or the listeners since the station grew old with them all... and then died.

I noticed that too for the last week or so. Perhaps they have an identity crisis. BUT they're not consistent because I still also hear sweepers mentioning JILL-FM.

Yeah, that's true! Well, we will see if they will drop the "Jill FM" name. I noticed that someone has picked up the www.927fm.com domain. I'm thinking they may drop the name but, like said we will see!

I heard his show when i was in Kansas City in 2006 on Star 102. Much better than Delilah. John does give helpful tips on life. I think his show airs on 95.9 The Fish not sure if its still on there.

I think CC screwed up KBIG more than KOST

They actually both sound like crap now. I miss the recurrent gold KBIG used to played. The Hot AC format is working but how about more retro from the 80's and 90's I hardly hear anything from the 90's what they claim.

I don't think the URL you posted has anything to do with JILL-FM.....
