Casey made a podcast about the firing, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxpLQkm4rJg&feature=youtube_gdata or you can listen to a few edited clips taken from the podcast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxpLQkm4rJg&feature=youtube_gdata I don't dislike D&D but I'm mad that they took off the Jersey Guys for no reason.

Podcast by Casey about the firing? Stupid move?
If Casey is collecting severance its standard in most broadcast agreements that until his contract ends any form of broadcast even via the internet could be forbidden. (Technically they’re still paying him to keep quiet during this period) He could lose his severance for breach if that clause is in his contact. Additionally, if there was a confidentiality clause in his contract even disclosing the scene in which he was fired could leave him on the hook for the company to seek damages for breach of contract. He should consult an attorney to see if any of these clauses were in his contract before proceeding with future podcasts. He may have already forfeited his severance package for breach.
Very popular? A few hundred reactions out of a cume of about one million listeners on facebook is downright pathetic. It represents an insignificant fraction of listeners and won’t make any difference. The problem remains NJ101.5 WKXW FM languishes in the 4’s in the PPM M/S/U. Deminski and Doyle were probably brought in to improve those numbers and judging from yesterday’s show they’re off to a good start. Casey was annoying and Ray isn’t compelling, a train wreck duo from day one. Just removing them from air should improve the numbers.
The area that has to be worked on now is Dennis and Judi, their show is sloppy, a few weeks ago I heard Dennis ask Judi “Are you there”? If the listener feels Judi is tuning out of what Dennis has to say then why should they bother to listen?

MedianJ said:The topics should be as Jersey centric as possible hence the name New Jersey 101.5. There could be a lot riding on the success of Deminski and Doyle mainly weak PD’s Eric Johnson’s job. So far this hour is slow, Eric Johnson needs to direct the hosts better as to do what works;
1. Introduce the topic
2. Give out the phone number
3. Take many short calls, this is top 40 talk; the audience has a short attention span, keep it moving.
Mistake of the day; never bring a random station employee in to discuss how they got their nickname, it confuses the audience on what the topic is and most important the audience doesn’t care in this PPM world.
A program director IS the director of what finally goes out on air, if a weak PD can’t get talent to do what gets the PPM ratings up then maybe it’s time to change the PD.

MedianJ said:It was about time! Casey and Rossi had the worse show in the over twenty year history of the station. PD Eric Johnson should be commended for taking the action that was needed. Deminski and Doyle are the best team in radio and will bring the station up to the next level. A banner day for NJ radio.
