DEMO TAPES

Sorry if this is the wrong section guys!

Anyway, I am from the UK and soon am visiting the States on a mainly career based trip, to find out more about radio over there. I am a huge fan of it and always have been

Anyway, i wanna take a demo with me so I can get an opinion from someone who works in radio over there!

What are the main tips for making a demo? I guess its a bit different to radio over here, thats why im asking this

3 minutes of skimmed airchecks (commercials and music removed) and a couple commercials with your voice and good production values. DAILY AVERAGE WORK...not just your best stuff (if you are looking for a gig). If you are submitting to small market, toss a short newscast on it too. on cassette or cd. cd prefered. goodluck!
