Democrat Convention on radio

WHYY-FM via NPR is airing the Democrat Convention each night. I noticed that WILM is airing at least some of the convention. At 9pm tonight WILM was carrying the convention (Monday I checked at 8pm and Savage was on and I haven't checked back to WILM until tonight at 9pm). WILM they may be pre-empting their normal programming when there is a key note address like Hillary, Bill Clinton, Biden, and of course Obama and running their regular shows during the rest vs WHYY-FM's gavel to gavel coverage), WDEL was airing the Phillies. So at least the convention is available on two radio stations in Wilmington, 1 AM (WILM) and 1 FM (WHYY) which does have a solid signal in Wilmington.

On the TV side, channel 12 (WHYY) via PBS (Jim Leher and crew) is also airing the convention, along with CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News on cable. I hadn't found any of the major 4 networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX) offering coverage. I guess NBC and FOX figure they are offering coverage via their cable news channels.

WDEL provided live coverage of the final hour each night on 93.7 FM HD3 and WDEL.com. 1150AM joined the coverage at the conclusion of Phillies coverage.

We are planning the same for the Republican National Convention.

Also, check out our ElectionWatch page on WDEL.com. There you will find all the interviews we did for the DNC - including a dozen interviews with Delaware delegates, more than two dozen interviews with reporters and analysts, and the Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Obama speeches in their entirety.
