Demographic trends in Puerto Rico

Reading that article reminds me of another article I read about Japan, which isn't losing population from emigration but has a very low birthrate -- and another article I read, which was about Europe, which also has low birthrates and may start to decline in population by the end of this century. In Japan, their answer seems to be more automation. In Europe, up until the backlash after 2015, it was immigration.
