Demographics without a format

I enjoyed so much firepoint's statement "Most of us are in demographics without a format" in the "New Nashville Numbers" thread, I thought it should have its own thread. What are those missing formats in Nashvegas, and just how do they target unserved demos? Don't just reply, "Oldies" or somesuch, come on, flesh it out enough to make a proposal.

Thanks for the shout-out. I remember posting that. Someone on that other thread said that Jack-FM is one of the male-dominated (or male-targeted) formats here in Nashville. I don't necessarily believe that. They seem gender-neutral to me.

My parents are in their 70s and listen heavily to WSM-AM. I would think that WAMB would also fit their musical tastes (especially my mother's), but WAMB is over on the east side of town, and my parents live west of town. Aside from that, WAMB seems to be increasingly devoting airtime to talk programming, so I don't know for how much longer they will be able to consider themselves a "music" station.

Advertisers seem to prefer under 55 for advertising purposes, so I suppose the short answer is that any of you who are over 55 are in demographics without a format.
