Demoralizing developments

Seems like there are a lot of them at Cox lately. So Lex n Terry wanted more control of their syndication. There's a good a reason to get hung up in contract talks and lose the #1 morning show in JAX for the last decade, and the biggest money maker. Whoever was negotiating for Cox (your guess here) should get a finders fee from Clear Channel. Wouldn't you love to hear what Rock 105 sales reps are telling ticked off clients? Will the last talented people to leave Cox please turn off the lights? I wonder what "format on a hard drive" the Cox brain trust is preparing next and how long it will be until the next round of firings.

And may I add...

When they fired the COOL 96.9 staff 10 months ago, they made them wait out a SIX month non-compete while only receiving a portion of that in severence pay, whereas L&T are only subject to four months of non-compete. Fortunetly, L&T still have income and a job to go to every morning and the great thing is that there's not a damn thing those rocket scientists at Cox can do about it!

Clear Channel can celebrate Christmas early this year!
